Sawadee Kaap Pung Kaaaapppp

Yeah finally it was the last paper for this semester.
Don't ask me what is molecular spectroscopic all about.
I can't even remember.
But what I do remember is the trip that we plan straight after the final exam.
We plan to go to Bangkok, on 26th June.
So, its on baby!
When we reached Don Mueang airport, we took airport transfer to the nearest BTS which is Mochit.
From Mochit, we stop at the interchange Asok/Sukhumvit line.
BTS here is very convenient, the modern technology can be proud of, same like MRT in Singapore.
We stay at Galleria 10, Sukhumvit,
We walk a lot here. When we are tired, we took tuk-tuk.
But most of the time, we travel by BTS and foot.
The only reason why we choose Bangkok is because we want to explore the floating market.
We went to the shopping mall on the first day.
Paragon mall (its like The Garden), Platinum fashion mall (so big, and what i can say it is similar like our Kenanga wholesale city),  Pratunam mall and MBK mall (you can get your souvenir here)
Nothing special, the mall is just like ordinanary mall.
But you can get Muslim food at MBK mall, (Yana restaurant, but it is quite expensive).
The next day, early in the morning we were ready for the floating market trip.
We book the trip with Mr Mike, Bangkok Asia Travel. The tour guide was a lovely lady, Ms Noi.
It took almost two hours journey from city center to the floating market.
Riding the long tail boat, tasting the foods and fruits on the boat.
Mango sticky rice was delicious.
The market area is not too big, but it is time consuming because the boat was paddled with slow motion and extra cautions,
to avoid any collisions with other boats as they are so many boats.
They sell mostly local food, clothing, hat, and souvenirs.
But after comparing, you can get the same items for cheaper price at MBK or Chatuchak market.
After about one and half hours, we continued the journey to elephant trekking.
Rode an elephant for about twenty minutes.
After that, stop somewhere at the Thai wooden house,
Maybe to promote the local craftsmanship
It was so nice and so fine quality, its very detailed.
No doubt, it comes with great perseverance, high level of patience.
I cannot do this definitely.
With that marks the end of the tour.
But its still early, so we went to the famous silk Jim Thomson House before went back to hotel.
On the very last day, took BTS to Mochit.
From Mochit, i followed where the crowd went to, which leads me to Chatuchak market.
this market is only open during weekend.
You can get almost everything here.
From clothing to kitchen utensils.
Don't forget to bargain.
But if you really can't keep your eyes off something, just grab.
Because the chances you will find the same shop after you walk around cannot be guaranteed.
After finishing with all bargaining and shopping things, it's time to go home.
Missing nasi lemak and roti canai already.
Safely landed, and welcome back to reality.
And next week is Holy Ramadhan.
Happy fasting!
